Just Desserts for Desert Deserters
Available from the Wurmwater Bounty Board after completing “Two Easy Pieces”. Apparently Captain Scarlett has a few deserters run off when Sandman attacked. She wants you to go and kill them for her. Head on back to the Oasis exit. Once the turn hard to the south and and get to the Southern edge of the map.
Kill Benny The Booster
Head over to the West and you will find the entrance to the Deserter's Camp. Get through the initial area with the Cursed Pirates, Swabbies and Pirates coming after you. Head on over to the left, going up the stairs and following the walkway over to the South. Head into the heights of the camp and you will find your target standing amongst the numerous pirates. He was the old cook and tried at least 7 times to poison Captain Scarlett.
Kill Deckhand
Time to head for Hayter's Folly. Leave the Canyon Deserter's Camp and turn to the Northwestern portion of the Oasis area. Once again you need to get through the pirates that are around. Once inside head for Aqua Nexus and go over to the left toward the lift. This is the fastest way to get to the area you will find Deckhand, Sandman's Lookout.
Deckhand is found in Sandman's Lookout so you would need to head all the way around the area to get to the location if you do not take the lift shortcut. Just head around to the lookout found behind where you fought Sandman and The Big Sleep. Deckhand himself is a tougher Grogmaster who will run up and start clubbing you with his bottle.
Kill Toothless Terry
Head for the Fast Travel Station and head on out to the Rustyard (failing that Wurmwater and making the trip). Once in the Rustyard you need to get through the first area to the Rusty Cog Settlement. Once inside there you need to fight your way on through to the back.
You will find Toothless Terry around the bridge that leads out to Hebert's shack. He is slow moving, massive, and carries a rocket launcher. Take advantage of the cover in the area and you should have little trouble taking him and all the other pirates down.
With all those men dead return to Wurmwater and the ship to claim your rewards.
Rewards: $674, Unique Shotgun: The Jolly Roger (always fires in a Skull and Crossbones pattern), 15780 XP

Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett Weapons

Borderlands 2, as most fans already know, is better than its predecessor in countless ways. But how does the first DLC expansion compare to the promising DLC from the first game? How is Captain Scarlett’s pirate booty? Firm? Let’s find out if the new pirate theme was a great or disappointing addition to the Borderlands franchise.

Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate’s Booty is the first of four upcoming DLC’s for Borderlands 2 and with a lot to live up to. The DLC this time around has the bad traits from Borderlands 1 and good traits from the second game. At one point in the DLC you’ll be driving from location to location of empty desert landscapes, with new Worm enemy types used as level fillers. At an other point the game will show you some eye candy as you fight your way through colorful caves taking out new cursed pirates and electric crystalisk enemies.

Guns, Guns, Guns!
What’s a pirate themed expansion without some booty, eh? This DLC offers some of the most unique weapons and items for Borderlands 2 so far. The ending is satisfying when it comes to treasure, but not so much if you’re looking for some more story. So if you’re willing to look for hidden message in a bottle missions, you’ll have some extra time with this DLC. Collecting new unique and hidden weapons is one of the best things from this DLC and worth the effort if you want an extra pirate side story.

Story…lack of it that is!
From the very start of the DLC, you’re given the entire plot in a nutshell. You’ll help Captain Scarlett find a lost treasure until she ends up betraying you. That’s pretty much it. Other characters though, end up being pointless and end up not adding any depth to the game.

Verdict!

6/10

The DLC just doesn’t seem to hit that sweet spot that many players got from playing the story in Borderlands 2. If you’re looking for some unique weapons, gear, and heads then this is the DLC for you. If you’ve been aching for some story and can’t handle long boring landscapes…then you might want to wait for another DLC expansion.

It’s a good DLC to have if you have the season pass for Borderlands 2, but if I didn’t have it already, I honestly wouldn’t waste my money on Captain Scarlett’s lack of booty.
